Levi's post

My little brother Levi wanted to do a Bible story post, but he wanted to write it himself. So without further ado, here's his retelling of (in his words, not mine) "How Peter cut a guy's ear off."

 One day Jesus was praying and he asked some of the disciples to pray with him. Then the disciples started to fall asleep and Jesus came back and said WAKE UP! Then he went back to praying and he was so scared that he sweat out blood, and he heard marching and then the man kissed Jesus on the cheek. That meant to arrest him then Peter one of the disciples got so mad he cut a guys ear off. And Jesus said Peter! Put away your sword and Jesus picked the man's ear up and put it back on him. 

 THE END!!!!!!!

    Levi, this is awesome!! I can't wait to share this with Joey and Liam! As it happens, I've cut a few guys' (proverbial:) ears off too, as Jesus continues to teach me a better way! (ugh!)

    I'm so thankful for the Word - thank you for sharing it with us! What an incredible account.

             Saltwater burned into my eyes and mouth, soaking my clothes and the bitter air churned my blood into ice. I gripped the side of the ship in a useless effort to remain steady as I observed my fellow crewmates. Our captain was tied behind the wheel, every muscle in his body straining to keep us afloat as my crewmates struggled to maintain both the rigging and their footing. The crack of lightning was almost comforting when compared with the thrashing waves, but then it was replaced with the vile laugh of the monster who’d put us here. The Fishing Boat Trials

I’d already lost two of my passengers and my last one had succumbed to the ending he believed wad the inevitable. Sharks gnashed their serrated teeth across my hull and breached into the air, reaching for my lone passenger’s limbs. It was almost impossible for me to stay afloat. The Great Storm claimed my mast, leaving the searing pain coursing through my body as the only reminder of the life i had once lived. I’m only a fishing boat but I’ve seen some things. I’ve seen burly men brought to their knees  praying to foreign gods for protection from the storms and monsters of the deep.
